Work hand in hand with the dairy farmers

The milk that is the source of all Armor* products must be of impeccable quality.

That’s why one of the priorities was to build sustainable and healthy relationships with the dairy farmers.

By providing consulting and assistance services, Armor* ensures that the raw material has an absolute quality. The dairy farmers are guaranteed to be accompanied at every step. The best breeding practices are being implemented, which optimizes the performance of each farm.

Act like a responsible breeder

Avoid wasting water, favoring natural power, and reducing the greenhouse gas emissions are daily issues. With simple solutions, Armor* assists producers and breeders in this civic process.

Giving preference to grazing, limiting pesticides or reducing methane emissions, these are actions that have a real impact on the milk quality. Armor* makes every effort to act in this way.

Striving for sustainable farms

To help the producers, Armor* offers farm diagnostics.

Following the diagnosis, actions are suggested to the producers who choose to implement the solutions.

All the producers that supply milk to Armor* adhere to the Charter of the Best Breeding Practices. This quality assurance takes into account both the animal welfare and the respect for the environment.

Diagnostics are covering three aspects:

  • The study of the herd's dairy production with the Milk Institute.
  • The review of the herd's feeding methods and the cultivation associated with the Institute for Sustainable Agriculture.
  • The analysis of the milk life-cycle with an optimized nutritional profile.

In a continuous improvement process, Armor* accompanies all its sectors in the implementation of their environmental management plan.

Each point is carefully studied: dissemination of the Best Practices for Environmental Conservation, management of the life cycle, packaging and labeling of the product…

Saving Raw Materials

The water and energy consumption is closely monitored in order to be optimized.  The use of consumables is limited due to the procedure standardization and the generalization of modern equipment.

Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

Armor* is committed to reducing its carbon footprint by implementing practical solutions:

  • To reduce emissions, we improve the constant performance of our facilities.
  • In addition, the milk collection, the deliveries to clients and the sales forces are pooled and optimized.
  • According to HEQ standards, fleets of refrigerated tankers are equipped with efficient engines and the drivers are trained in eco-driving.
  • Finally, the water that results from milk drying, commonly called "cow water" is used for cleaning the equipment.
